ES Windows Window Installation: The Hialeah Owner’s Guide

If you own ES Windows and something’s failed or worn out, we can source or match the part and install it correctly, usually within a few days. Most ES Windows window installation work in Hialeah runs between $180 and $650 per window depending on the part, the series, and whether we’re replacing hardware, weatherstripping, or pulling the sash. You’ll usually know something’s wrong the first time the window won’t lock, won’t seal, or suddenly takes two hands to open.

We’re Winslow Windows & Doors, and we’ve been installing and repairing ES Windows products across Hialeah since 2011. We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with ES Windows, which means we tell you straight when a part is worth replacing and when it’s not.

Which ES Windows Models This Applies To

ES Windows builds several product families, and the part you need depends entirely on which one you have. The big ones we see in Hialeah homes are the ES Windows Impact Series, the ES Windows Vinyl Single Hung and Horizontal Roller lines, and the ES Windows Casement and Picture Window combinations. Each uses different balances, rollers, locking hardware, and weatherstripping profiles. A roller from a horizontal slider will not fit a single hung, and we’ve seen homeowners buy the wrong one online more times than we can count.

Here’s the compatibility gotcha we run into constantly: ES Windows changed its balance shoe and pivot bar dimensions on certain single hung models around 2017. If your windows were installed before that, you need the older-style shoe. After that, you need the newer one. The only reliable way to know is to look at the metal pivot bar at the bottom of the sash, or read the label etched into the corner of the glass spacer. If that label is gone, we measure the shoe channel width on site and match it that way. On rollers, ES Windows uses a specific housing width, and the aftermarket generics often ride too high or too low, which throws the sash out of square and wears the track prematurely.

OEM parts are ideal when available, especially for locking mechanisms and balance hardware. But we also carry quality aftermarket equivalents from suppliers we’ve used for years, and for things like rollers and weatherstripping, the aftermarket part is often as good or better because the compounds have improved since the window was made. We’ll give you the choice and tell you which we’d put in our own house.

Signs Your ES Windows Window Installation Is Failing

  • The window suddenly drops when you release it. This is a failed balance system, either a broken coil or a worn shoe. In Hialeah, the salt air and humidity accelerate corrosion on the metal components. If it slams shut, the sash can crack.
  • You have to lift and shove to open or close it. That’s a roller or track problem on sliders, or a warped sash on single hung. Forcing it makes the hardware bend, and the next time it won’t close enough to lock.
  • You feel a draft even when the window is shut and locked. The weatherstripping has compressed or torn, usually along the meeting rail. In a Hialeah summer, that’s cooled air pouring out and humidity creeping in.
  • The lock won’t engage or feels loose. The keep is misaligned or the lock’s internal cam is worn. This weakens the window’s structural seal and matters more than people think when wind pressure hits during storm season.
  • Water stains appear on the interior sill after heavy rain. That’s often the sill dam or the glazing bead channel failing, and in Hialeah’s afternoon downpours, it doesn’t take much of a gap to leave a stain.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s what ES Windows window installation and part replacement typically costs in Hialeah:

Modern luxury home exterior with large dark frame sliding glass patio doors nationwide
  • Roller replacement: $180-$320 per window, including parts and labor.
  • Balance replacement (single or double): $220-$380 per window.
  • Lock and keep hardware: $140-$260 per window.
  • Weatherstripping full perimeter: $160-$300 per window.
  • Sash removal, realign, and reset: $250-$450 per window.
  • Full sash replacement (glass intact): $400-$650 per window.

Those ranges cover the part and our labor, no hidden fees. The price moves based on your specific ES Windows series, whether it’s an impact-rated unit, and how much of the frame we need to clean and prep before the new part goes in. Every quote is a written line-item price before we start, and we don’t do change orders. If the window needs more than we quoted, we tell you before we do it, and the decision is yours. Our work carries the Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, period.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things yourself: look for the glass spacer label, take a photo of the existing hardware, and note whether the window is a single hung, horizontal roller, casement, or picture unit. That’ll save time on the call. But window installation and part replacement on ES Windows units isn’t a casual Saturday job. Balances are under spring tension, and if the shoe releases while you’re prying the sash out, you can take a metal bar to the face or shatter the insulated glass unit. On impact-rated windows, a botched part install can compromise the structural rating, which means the window won’t perform as designed when a storm tells it to. We’ve repaired enough DIY attempts in Hialeah to know the fix usually costs more than the original repair would have. Call us at (850) 998-3090 and we’ll come take a look, no guesswork, no pressure.

What Neighbors Say About Winslow Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"We sat out a hurricane behind the windows Ed put in. The gusts threw a neighbour's trampoline down the street and the loudest thing in our house was the kettle. I rang him after to say thank you and he answered his own phone, same as always."

TThaddeus Okonkwo
★★★★★

"Ed measured every opening himself and walked me through the product approval paperwork before I signed anything. When the inspector came he found the notice of acceptance taped inside a window like it should be and passed us first visit."

RRosalind Beaumont
★★★★★

"The old aluminium sliders howled every afternoon storm and swelter came straight through the glass. The new impact sliders shut with a sound like a bank vault and the back rooms finally hold their temperature."

PPercival Whitcombe
★★★★★

"Someone tried the back slider while we were away. The glass crazed and held, the alarm never had to earn its keep, and the police report reads better than it might have. Ed came out the next morning to check the frame himself."

CCornelius Adeyemi
★★★★★

"Three big companies quoted us and every one sent a salesman with a leased truck. Ed turned up in a truck with his own name on the door, quoted less, and his crew were the same faces on day one and day nine."

YYolanda Betancourt
★★★★★

"He replaced the front door and the garage door in the same week, both rated for impact, and lined the frames up so straight my level had nothing to say. My wife stopped hearing the highway from the front room."
